All the casting news you could ever hope to know.

I might as well call it pilot season frenzy. There's just too much news today. I can't even do my normal attempt at hilarity with my quick round up of all the news. Giancarlo Esposito and Cuba Gooding Jr. are the big names of the day. I'll try to edit stuff down so you don't have a case of the TL;DR's.

Deadline reports that Cuba Gooding Jr. could be making his first regular seriess role in the pilot for Fox's legal drama Guilty. McG is set to direct the pilot which would follow Gooding as a defense attorney who is stripped of his legal license after being falsely convicted of fraud. He chooses to use his "unorthodox methods" to get revenge and continue on the cases he's been prohibited from. According to TVline, Eva Amurri Martino from Californication will also be starring in Guilty as the character Lily. She is a lawyer who works closely with Gooding Jr's lead character. Julian Harris, from Pretty Little Liars, was also recently cast as a young attorney who is ambitious and greatly admires the work of the rule breaking attorney

After Breaking Bad for a season, Giancarlo Esposito will be starring in the lead role of JJ Abrams and Eric Kripke's drama pilot at NBC. Deadline reports that the actor will be playing Capt. Neville, a southern military man who is not exactly all he appears to be. The pilot, which Jon Favreau is set to direct is called Revolution and is centered on a group of survivors in a world where all forms of energy have "mysteriously ceased to exist."

Moving on, Jake Lacy will be coming to the Fox comedy The Goodwin Games from the creators of How I Met Your Mother. Deadline reports that the Better With You actor will co-star opposite Becki Newton and Scott Foley in the single-camera show. The show is centered around the three, who are siblings, after their father dies and leaves them his fortune but only if they agree to his conditions. Lacy will be playing a petty thief recently releases from jail, again.

Caitlin Fitzgerals will be a Master of Sex. Showtime has hired the actress to play Libby Masters, the wife of lead character William Master, played by Michael Sheen. The story is adapted from Thomas Maier's book and looks at the lives and romances of the Masters, specifically William and his partner Virginia Johnson(Lizzy Caplan), who begin a sexual revolution with their research.

NBC has picked up Sex and the City alum David Eigenberg to star in Chicago Fire. In the action drama about the men and women of the Chicago Fire Department, Eigenberg will be playing a veteran firefighter who is forced to move in with his in-laws after losing his home to foreclosure.

In ABC's Beast, F. Murray Abraham will be playing the role of "a wise and trusted but duplicitous man of state," who is the chancellor to Emperor Dorian. The beast will be going by the name Shiro, and is will have Darius Campbell acting in that role. The role of Belle, or Grace in this retelling, has yet to be cast.

Deadline is reporting that Dustin Ybarra will be starring opposite John Leguizamo in the multicamera comedy pilot Only Fools and Horses. Based on the British series of the same name, ABC has picked up Ybarra to play one of two streetwise brothers who team up with their grandfather in get-rich-quick schemes, hoping that something will work and they will become millionaires.

AnnaSophia Robb has been cast to play a young Carrie Bradshaw in the CW's Sex and The City story. According to Deadline, the Soul Surfer actress has been cast after quite a few young actresses tested for the role. Based on Candace Bushnell's novel The Carrie Diaries, the story is a prequel to her best-selling novel and takes place in the 80s when the character has her first everythings. Amy Harris (Gossip Girl) wrote the script which sees the characters thinking about love, friendship, family, sex, high school, and Manhattan. Katie Findlay and Ellen Wong were also recently cast and will play two of her best friends. One is a follower and is "pragmatic, bright and super loyal." The other is the daughter of the police and sees little reason to leave the town she knows and loves.
