RED WIDOW "The Escape" S1E4 (recap)

One thing that I haven’t picked up on until last night’s episode was the cool opening across the San Fran Golden Gate Bridge. As the camera moves through the bridge’s cables, notes from a cello ring out, making the cables appear like strings – perhaps alluding to the strings that’s making Marta, Schiller’s puppet.

Perhaps I’m reading into it too much, but last night it just hit me the right way – or the right note.


When we last left soccer mom turned drug courier Marta Walraven (Radha Mitchell), she was contemplating fleeing the country with her children to escape the evil Schiller (Goran Visnjic) and his “family” of bad natured thugs. Her one and only concern is protecting her kids.
