Her very name denotes a rebellious streak, and she’s been a mainstay of the world of the X-Men for thirty years now. I’m talking, naturally, about Rogue, everyone’s favorite southern belle from Caldecott County, Mississippi. Of course, since Caldecott County is entirely fictional, she’s pretty much the only southern belle you’d know from there, but still, I’m going to count it.

While readers know of Rogue today as a member of the Uncanny Avengers after years as the lead character in X-Men: Legacy and a major player in various X-Books over the decades, she wasn’t always the hero she is now.
