I know that in the recent months a lot of people have been sending crap into space and filming it specifically for the YouTube hits, but this particular group of students from Bishop, California (who call themselves Earth to Sky) sent the rubber chicken named Camille into space to study solar storms.
Okay sure, they dressed her up as an astronaut (which is adorable) and put it on YouTube, but I stand by the scientific reasoning behind the experiment (even though it's just fun to see a rubber chicken wearing an oxygen helmet plummeting back to earth).
Now I don't know what data was retrieved from this experiment, but it sure is gonna look good on a college application.
