Another day, another list of casting news. This one has some cool names today though.
Leonard Nimoy will be coming to The Big Bang Theory, though probably not in the way that you thought. Dane Cook is starring in a pilot as a disheveled hung-over man, and Christopher Lloyd is playing a crafty grampa trying to get rich. Check out all that and more right after the jump.
THR reports that comedian Dane Cook will be coming to a TV series. NBC has picked up the actor to star in the comedy pilot
Next Caller Please. The show is centered on the character Cam, a crude DJ and his feminist co-host at a satellite radio station. Cook is set to play the lead role who is described as "disheveled, unshaven, hung-over, and angry that his co-host is a woman. Collette Wolfe is set to play the co-host, Stella, and Joy Osmanski has the role of her producer who gets her the radio show job.

The Hollywood Reporter, Leonard Nimoy will be coming to
The Big Bang Theory. The Star Trek...star will be coming to the show in a dream sequence cameo. He'll being the voice of Spock, in the March 29th episode. Nimoy has long been on the list of most wanted guest stars for the show. Executive producer Steve Molaro said, "For years, we thought it would be fantastic to have Leonard Nimoy appear on the show and we think we’ve found a really different and fun way to make that happen." He then added, "As thrilled as we are he's doing it, we're even more thrilled just to get our pictures taken with him.”
Christopher Lloyd will be starring in
Only Fools and Horses. According to
Deadline, the veteran actor will be playing the grandfather in the adaptation of the British show which follows two brothers and their grandfather as they pull of different get-rich-quick schemes. John Leguizamo and Dustin Ybarra are set to play the two brothers and BJ Bales will play Trigger, a con man and recurring enemy of the brothers.
In an untitled single camera pilot from Shawn Levy, Majandra Delfino has been cast to star opposite Mandy Moore. The story is based around a newlywed couple that are given the opportunity to run a new restaurant in their hometown. Delfino will play one of Moore's sisters, her character is divorced and now living at home. Levy is set to direct the pilot
Liz Cackowski has been cast in Nick Stoller's untitled single camera comedy pilot. The actress/writer will play the role of Ingrid. Nothing else is known about the character. The show revolves around an ad agency exec who is afraid of commitment. After he is dumped by his longtime girlfriend, he still has to work next to her a cubicle away.
Variety reports that Taylor Handley will play Dennis Quaid's son in the upcoming drama pilot based around Ralph Lamb. The 1960's Las Vegas pilot will see Handley playing Dixon, a reckless playboy. Quaid's character Lamb is a former rodeo cowboy who becomes a Las Vegas sheriff. James Mangold is directing the pilot with a script from GoodFellas writer Nicholas Pileggi. Michael Chiklis has also been cast recently and he will play a "chicago mob fixer who has an antagonistic relationship with Lamb."

Twilight actress Ashley Greene has been picked up to play the female lead opposite Anthony LaPaglia. The soap about a fashion industry clan is centered on LaPaglia's character, an iconic fashion designer leading his family business. Greene will play the newest member of the fashion family whose arrival shakes things up at the label. Also added to the cast is Tiffany Hines from
Nikita. According to
THR, she will play the role of Shane Kell, a "gorgeous medical student and the best friend to Greene's character Alice. She is asked to model in a fashion show and it changes her life.
Entertainment Weekly reports that Cary Elwes will be joining the cast of
Prairie Dogs alongside Kal Penn. Elwes will play the role of the mysterious head of the design department. The show is centered around Penn's character, an office worker who has his identity stolen and uses the opportunity to create a new identity for himself. Elwes is described as "a German eccentric who wears turtleneck sweaters and kilts.

TVline, David Arquette has joined the cast of the comedy pilot
The Smart One which stars Portia de Rossi and Malin Akerman. The project comes from Donald Todd and Ellen DeGeneres and is centered around De Rossi's character, a smart woman who is upstaged by her dumb and pretty sister(Akerman) who becomes the mayor. Arguette will play Akerman's Husband Buddy. Jean Smart is also in the cast as the sister's mother.
In a press release it was announced that Beau Bridges and Margo Martindale have been added to the cast of
Masters of Sex. The Showtime drama pilot follows the lives and unusual relationships of William Masters and Virginia Johnson. The two human sexuality pioneers from the 1960s are the focus of the book by Thomas Maier which the show is based on. Bridges will play the University Chancellor Barton Scully, Masters' boss. Martindale has a guest role as Miss Horchow, Masters' secretary that follows the rules. Michael Sheen and Lizzy Caplan have the lead roles, and Caitlin Fitzgerald was recently cast as Masters' wife Libby.
TVline reports that
Justified star Natalie Zea has been picked up to co-star in an untitled drama pilot at Fox from Kevin Williamson. The project is about a serial killer who uses technology to create a cult of killers that will do whatever he says. James Purefoy is set to play Joe Carroll, the killer and Zea would have the role of his ex-wife, who has to deal with the situation when Carroll breaks out of prison. It's unknown how the pilot will affect her work on Justified, especially if the project is ordered to series.
