Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day is being adapted for the big screen and it looks like Steve Carell will be leading the cast.
Deadline reports that Carell is in early talks with 20th Century Fox to have a starring role in the live action adaptation. The role will likely be the character Ben, Alexander's father. Writer/director Lisa Cholodenko will be helming the film with a script co-written with Rob Lieber, based on the original children's book by Judith Viorst.
The title of the story pretty much tells you the entire plot. Alexander starts his day by having gum tangled in his hair, and it only gets worse from that point on. Eventually he nearly decides to give it all up and move to Australia.
