CARTOON NETWORK Announces LEVEL UP Premiere

Following it's original movie that aired in November, Level Up returns as a half hour live action series on January 24th on Cartoon Network.

Level Up Series Premieres Tuesday, January 24 at 8 p.m. (ET, PT) on Cartoon Network

Level Up is a hilarious new half-hour live-action comedy series that turns the game on the player when four unlikely friends – Wyatt, Dante, Lyle and Angie – accidentally open a portal from the virtual world to the real world, wreaking havoc on their entire neighborhood. Level Up is created by executive producers Derek Guiley and David Schneiderman (both credited for Chasing Liberty). Peter Murietta (Wizards of Waverly Place, Hope and Faith) serves as the executive producer and show-runner for the series. Level Up premieres TUESDAY, JANUARY 24 at 8 p.m. (ET, PT) on Cartoon Network.

Level Up premiered last month (Wed. Nov. 23) as a 90-minute original movie and captured more than 2.5 million viewers 2+ and it also ranked #1 in its time period among kids 6-11, and out-performed both cable and broadcast networks by mostly double and triple-digits among kids 9-14 and all boy demos (2-11, 6-11, 9-14) making it the #1 Telecast of the Day, according to Nielsen Media Research.

Wyatt, Dante and Lyle are top gamers in their favorite online game Conqueror of All Worlds. They’ve defeated trolls, squashed barbarians, annihilated ghouls and trashed everything else the game can throw at them. But it’s a whole new experience battling their online foes IRL (in real life)! Now these typical teens must “level up” in order to deal with high school life while protecting their town. And all without a cheat code!

The talented cast, Gaelan Connell as Wyatt, Connor del Rio as Dante, Jessie T. Usher as Lyle and Aimee Carrero as Angie, will reprise their roles from the movie. Joining the series is comedian Lonny Ross (30 Rock) as Max Ross, the multi-millionaire genius and eccentric game creator who helps the kids out on their real world quests.

Fans can play the game inspired by the hit movie and new series on www.cartoonnetwork.com . “Maldark: Conqueror of All Worlds” is a high-quality 3D “dungeon-crawl” adventure game where players take on one of three classes and navigate a dynamic labyrinthine environment. Launched concurrently with the movie premiere on Wednesday, Nov. 23, the game to date has already attracted 1.9 million players and 5 million game-plays. Players battle 40+ monsters and earn treasure completing quests across 30 dungeon levels, defeating each boss through entertaining and engaging game-play. “Maldark: Conqueror of All Worlds” features voice over from the cast and quests from the writers of Level Up the movie.
