Bitter Pill used to be called Side Effects, either way, Rooney Mara has been cast in the project from Steven Soderbergh.
Variety reports that The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo actress will be replacing Blake Lively and joining a cast full of stars like Channing Tatum, Jude Law, and Catherine Zeta-Jones. The news comes with the announcement that Engame Entertainment will be financing the newly titled project.
The plot is centered around a woman who uses high doses of prescription drugs to deal with the anxiety and depression surrounding the upcoming release of her husband(Tatum) from prison.
This will be Mara's first project since Dragon Tattoo. She's been looking at some other project like Pride Prejudice and Zombies and Katheryn Bigelow's untitled bin Laden flick.
