Painting on privately-owned buildings is a big no-no (even if you happen to be a great artist) and yeah, your stuff will eventually get painted over so there's a limited time that anyone will get to enjoy your work.
But you have to give it up for British Stencil/Graffiti artist DS for locking down an incredible meta version of his art by stenciling the guy who paints over his work onto the very wall the dude just covered up.
Ironically, the new piece has been left on the wall for people to enjoy.
I guess the removal guy doesn't want to chance that in erasing the graffiti, he will erase himself.
Now that's some seriously deep work.
