In the most idiotic way to introduce Santa ever, the Palm Beach Gardens Mall in Florida decided to have their Santa rappel down to his throne from the second floor of the mall to the delight of the children waiting to sit on his lap and demand over-priced gifts.
Only there was a small snafu in this genius plan.
Santa (who I didn't think was in good enough shape to do anything physical) got his beard caught in the line and thus had his entire personage ripped off of him, unveiling him as a fraud to the horrified children waiting below.
But wait, it gets even better.
To try and keep the kids from breaking down emotionally, a mall employee tries to get the kids to sing...wait for it...We Wish You A Merry Christmas in order to distract them.
Ah yes, the final nail in the coffin that is a childhood lost.
