Hal Lasko is the kind of man that makes you look at your own life and wonder just what the hell it is you are doing with it.
At 97 years old and suffering from Wet Macular Degeneration (which causes blindness in the center of his vision), Lasko uses Microsoft Paint as his medium of choice (it allows him to maximize certain areas of his work so he can see it) thus creating a pointillism (pixellism?) version of a world that drives his creativity (thanks to his grandsons who introduced the man to the program after buying him his first computer at the age of 82).
Yes, a 97 year-old man is doing more with his life than you and me. Kind of puts things in perspective doesn't it?
And, because Hal is so obviously awesome, Josh Bogdan made a short documentary film to celebrate the man and his accomplishments.
And yeah, you will tear up...probably because you realize you have no excuses not to go after your dream.
Documentary after the break.
