For Chapman (Taylor Schilling) change comes in the form of finally being able to take part in the more mundane aspects of prison life now that she can remove the newbie orange jumpsuit and slide into the khaki ones now that she has been thoroughly vetted into the system (and it doesn't hurt that her commissary money comes in allowing her to buy the most joyous of items, flip flops for the shower).
But, in all honesty, the most interesting aspect of Chapman's emotional evolution is the uncomfortable and unwanted relationship with Suzanne 'Crazy Eyes' Warren (Uzo Aduba) that dominates most of the episode, and how she is able to negotiate it without triggering Crazy Eyes' violent tendencies (which Chapman is a witness to when there is a three-way stand-off between Chapman, Crazy Eyes and the evil Ex Alex (Laura Prepon) with a piece of pie).
