While the main story still revolves around Piper Chapman (Taylor Schilling) and her desperate attempt to repair the rift she caused when she accidentally insulted fellow inmate/kitchen chef Red's (Kate Mulgrew) cooking in episode one (so she won't starve to death), this episode is mainly dedicated to the mythology of Red; who she was before prison, how she might have ended up in there and, more importantly, why she is so damn unsympathetic to Chapman.
