DA VINCI'S DEMONS: "The Prisoner" S1E3 (review)

The Medicis took center stage in episode three of Da Vinci’s Demons, both Lorenzo (Elliot Cowan) and his wife Clarice Orsini (Lara Pulver), and Giulino (Tom Bateman) and his supposedly possessed nuns.

In a plot thread that would seem more at home in an episode of The Walking Dead, the nuns of a local convent in Florence are apparently becoming possessed by the Devil due to the Medicis’ corruption and lack of true Christian faith.  They start behaving like deranged zombies, even shuffling along the streets and roads of Florence covered in dirt and blood, groaning in agony.

Guilino Medici is convinced there is something sinister and spiritual behind it and heads up an investigation, where, of course, he butts heads with Leonardo da Vinci (Tom Riley).
