Becoming a learned human being is one of life's most Star Trekian pursuits and it falls upon each of us to take advantage of all the information that we have available to us and become like Captain Picard.
Of course, we do have a disadvantage, most of us know very little about anything and when confronted by that fact, we respond in the only way we know how...like five-year-olds throwing tantrums.
Luckily, Reddit has created a web-series that takes the most complex subjects and ideas and boils them down so that even the aforementioned Kindergartner can understand them...and they call it Explain Like I'm Five (which seems a bit dismissive even if it's true).
And while the first three subjects discussed (Existentialism and Friederich Nietzsche, The Volatility of the Stock Market and The Crisis in Syria) might not come up in playgroup, it doesn't hurt to spread a thick covering of knowledge over all the idiots that you work with.
I'm sure they will appreciate the lesson.
