I don't know about you but I am super excited and ready to be disappointed by Sam Rami's Oz: The Great And Power when it comes out this Friday. And to get myself ready for the date night premiere with my hubby, I'm planning on constructing a little ode to the famous red shoes of the original movie, courtesy of glitter queen and craftser extraordinaire, Kathy Cano-Murillo...Warning: She will have every inch of you and your home covered in glitter.
Now, I know for some of you, the idea of crafting can be pretty intimidating, considering how the world of craft (which once meant doing simple things like gluing something to something else) has recently become interchangeable with the word "Artisanal" (meaning: creating fucking precious works of art that would normally be mocked, but are now infused with super-human hipster powers), but don't get yourself all worked up about being perfect, this particular craft is old school and requires just a few items that you can buy at a Michaels or Joann Fabrics (with the exception of the black or red ankle boots- you can find those cheap at a Target, Wal-Mart or a Thrift Store) and is so incredibly easy, that you will probably find yourself decorating all your shoes just for the hell of it.
