Paul Bettany won't be coming to American TV soon, he's dropped out of Masters of Sex.
According to TVline, The actor abruptly walked away from the leading role in Showtime's upcoming drama pilot. It's not really known why he backed out of the project, the hunt for a replacement to play William Masters has now begun.
The show would have been Bettany's first major project on American TV. The show is based on a book by Thomas Maier called Masters of Sex: The Life and Times of William Masters and Virginia Johnson, The Couple Who Taught America How to Love
