I really thought this episode was delightful. We got to see Ray (
Alex Karpovsky) flip out, which is usually entertainingly odd and articulate, and a really random dream-like affair between Hannah (
Lena Dunham) and Joshua (guest star
Patrick Wilson). No insufferable Marnie (
Allison Williams) or Jessa (
Jemima Kirke) drama. This episode was subtle and really, really good.
Joshua is a disgruntled neighbor of the coffee shop, Grumpy’s, where Hannah and Ray work. As it turns out, Hannah is the culprit of Joshua’s suspicions against Grumpy’s trash dumping location, and upon her confession she swoons him and they have a two-day romantic faux-life together.
