It seems that we are moving toward a musical way of life these days what with the popularity of shows like GLEE, Smash and whatever else has characters randomly belting out a tune for no apparent reason.
So naturally, Half-Life would like to jump on the sing-a-long bandwagon by allowing their Head Crab monster to perform a nice little tune before gnawing on the noggin of a potential victim.
I kinda think it feels a little more upsetting when it sings to you first before sucking out your brain, but that's just me.
