Julia, Julia, Julia...you were hard to look at, difficult to listen to and most definitely a far, far more interesting chef than can be found on any of today's cooking shows.
Back when the height of French cooking in America was simply fries, you made carbo-loading and cheese consumption c'est magnifique, and loads of kids learned what food NOT slathered in mayo could taste like.
