Angelina Jolie is taking on the evil role of Maleficent in the upcoming film about the sorceress from Sleeping Beauty. Now we get the first pictures of what she looks like in her costume and make-up.
In an image that looks like it could be a live action remake of the original Sleeping Beauty movie from Disney, Jolie rocks the classic black horns, glowing green eyes and dark red lips.
Filming on the project started recently and is Jolie's return to acting after two years of directing and producing. Robert Stromberg, a production designer who's worked on Avatar and Alice in Wonderland, will be making his directorial debut with this film.
Elle Fanning will play Aurora, otherwise known as Sleeping Beauty, the baby who Maleficent curses. The rest of the film will focus on earlier parts of the evil character's history. Sharlto Copley will play a half-human half-fairy bastard son of the king. Juno Temple, Imelda Staunton and Lesley Mansville are set to play the three pixie fairies.
