DAVID MORRISSEY TALKS ABOUT BEING THE GOVERNOR
In Season 3 of The Walking Dead, the band of survivors will head to the prison. There they get to meet The Governor. Played by David Morrissey, the governor is a twisted character that will attack without provocation.
In an interview with TV Guide Magazine, he said that most of his preparation for the role has been reading Robert Kirkman's prequel and trying to really understand the character as he appears in the comic books. A he said "there was so much in that book that I could use." He then added "I'm finding out what his fears anxieties and loves are so I can make him my own.
HOMELAND ADDS ZULEIKHA ROBINSON TO THE CAST, SONS OF ANARCHY GRABS WANDA DE JESUS
Deadline reports that the Showtime thriller drama Homeland has added Zuleikha Robinson to the cast as a recurring character in the second season. Her character Roya Hammad, is a field journalist who delivers an ultimatum to Damian Lewis' character Brody.
The biker drama Sons of Anarchy will star Wanda de Jesus in a multi-episode arc on the fifth season of the the show. Her character, Carla, is described as "a smart and sexy associate of Nero." Nero is Jimmy Smits new character for the season and is a said to be a dangerous mentor for Jax, and a possible threat to the club.
HANNE WILHELMSEN SERIES IS BEING TURNED INTO A SHOW
According to THR the series of eight books from Anne Holt are being turned into a new show now that Graham King TV has the rights to the project. The swedish novels consists of eight books and as of now has not yet been shopped to the networks. The books have already sold over 6 million worldwide and Scandinavian noir is said to be very popular right now.
HBO WORKING ON A BASKETBALL DRAMEDY
THR reports that a sports dramedy will be HBO's latest project. Jeff Nathanson and Gavin Palone have recently sold a pitch for an hourlong show that would look being the courts at the professional basketball teams. Offering a glimpse into a world that is not often shown, there will be the usual money, sex, and power, but the show will also give a different look at the world of sports professionals that we all think we know but is not really true.
Nathanson is best known for his work on Catch Me If You Can, all of the Rush Hour movies, and The Terminal. Polone has worked with HBO multiple times on shows like Curb Your Enthusiasm, Tell Me You Love Me, and Cinema Verite.
