Promoted to Admiral at the end of the 2009 Star Trek, Bruce Greenwood has been written a part in the sequel.Trekmovie.com reports that writer/producer Roberto Orci left a comment on their site saying that while their is a part written for Greenwood, nothing has been accepted yet. So we may see him, but we may not.
Orci's exact words in the comment were "We wrote a part for Greenwood. Let us hope he says "Yes!"
Captain Pike was a big part in the 2009 movie and served as a sort of surrogate father to Kirk. Hopefully his part is more than just showing up on a screen and giving orders like past Admirals have. Did you even remember that Tyler Perry was in the movie, he was an Admiral.
When we last saw Pike he was in a wheelchair after being tortured by Nero, being promoted to Admiral. It's unknown whether the chair will return buy Greenwood has said that he would rather be standing if he returns.
So now we play the waiting game to see if Greenwood accepts the role, my guess is he will, but I have been wrong in the past.
