In the movie Dano is a writer having trouble who finds inspiration with his newest character a 26-year old girl name Ruby Sparks. He's created the character so much in his mind that she comes to life. And she's played by Kazan.
Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris directed the project which "emphasizes frustration, love and desperation in equal doses." The two are best known for their 2006 hit Little Miss Sunshine.
Ruby Sparks hits theaters in limited release on July 25.
