The Lone Ranger is moving ahead with filming down in New Mexico, Arizona, Utah and Colorado, and today we have a few new pictures.
Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer were both in character when they met with some leaders of the Navajo Nation. In the action-comedy, Depp wants to “take some of the ugliness thrown on the Native Americans, not only in The Lone Ranger, but the way Indians were treated throughout the history of cinema, and turn it on its head.”
ET brings us the new pictures of Tonto and the Lone Ranger at the meet and greet with the leaders who are helping to make sure the characters show the Native American's in a positive light. The movie will also star Tom Wilkinson, William Fichtner, Barry Pepper, James Badge Dale, Ruth Wilson, and Helena Bonham Carter.
The Lone Ranger is a thrilling adventure infused with action and humor, in which the famed masked hero is brought to life through new eyes. Native American spirit warrior Tonto (Johnny Depp) recounts the untold tales that transformed John Reid (Armie Hammer), a man of the law, into a legend of justice—taking the audience on a runaway train of epic surprises and humorous friction as the two unlikely heroes must learn to work together and fight against greed and corruption.The Lone Ranger opens May 31, 2013.
