Just in time for Halloween comes this adorable (albeit, slightly depressing) vignette of the various experiences of a skeleton person who, from the looks of it, has some serious problems dealing with the world without a good coating of skin.

I guess it just goes to show that you can never tell the issues that someone goes through without walking a mile in their bones.

If you are tired of your city not fixing the roads due to budget issues (or, more likely, because they are too busy giving themselves big fat raises) take heart, for anarchy comes in all shapes and sizes...some even incredibly polite.

Like this man near Bath, England who built a toll road (without asking anyone if it were okay) so that people wouldn't have to drive an extra 14 miles around a detour (that was lasting months).

Where did he come up with the idea?

At a pub...naturally.

And who said drinking never led to great decisions?

New Year's resolutions can run the gamut from dropping ten pounds to reading more books to pinching pennies for a rainy day fund. But for TV fans resolving to catch up on their favorite shows in the New Year, HBO has two new releases to help them reach the finish line.

Nominated for two 2014 Emmy Awards, Girls: The Complete Third Season follows twenty-something Hannah Horvath and friends as they struggle toward the successful and satisfying lives they're convinced they deserve. The series is a critical and cultural smash, inspiring endless buzz and critical accolades as Hannah (Lena Dunham), Marnie (Allison Williams), Shoshanna (Zosia Mamet) and Jessa (Jemima Kirke) amble around New York City in search of their destinies, often to hilarious effect. The Blu-ray set is loaded with deleted scenes, three music features, a laugh-out-loud gag reel and more!

The guys in Looking: The Complete First Season might be a little bit older, but they're still figuring things out themselves. Patrick (Jonathan Groff) has a great job, but can't quite get a grasp on his romantic life. Agustin (Frankie J. Alvarez) is moving in with his long-term boyfriend but questioning the idea of monogamy. And Dom (Murray Bartlett) is facing middle age with little to show for it. The intimate series uses their friendship and love lives to explore modern gay culture and the new challenges that arise as gay people are able to live their lives more openly.

Both series will be available on Blu-ray and DVD January 6, 2015, and are sure to be popular among the millennial crowd rushing out to spend their holiday gift card money. Girls is also available on Digital HD now, and Looking will debut on Digital HD January 6.

Press releases for both after the jump.

Greetings FOG Readers!

When I’m not nerding out buying action figures, or reading about action figures, or taking photos and writing about action figures… I sometimes do other stuff.

Writing and filmmaking are one of my passions and after reading an article in Popular Science last year I was compelled to tell this short horror-sci fi-animal rights story. The short is titled FIST.

The film stars the amazing JD Mendoca, David Dean Bottrell and was scored by the equally amazing Dean Hurley. I wrote the film and shot it with DP David Alexander Willis. We used a Canon 5D, T3i, and edited on Final Cut Pro.

Hope you enjoy, some thoughts are provoked or at the very least you are entertained.

Check it out after the jump!

The Bela Lugosi You (Probably) Never Knew

$

When I say the name Bela Lugosi, one or two things will generally come to mind.

Dracula, of course, being the first.

The second, if you’re into horror and sci-fi, would be his work with Ed Wood Jr. during the twilight of his life.

Many horror fans will add, “Oh yeah, Lugosi was a big theater actor, too,” and simply leave it at that.

While this is plainly true, his career goes far deeper. He was and is far more than that.

Sometimes callous and jealous, such as in his known rivalry with Boris Karloff, Lugosi above all else was always a passionate creature.

Although consistently held down by stereotyping, he never gave up hope on the career which he so truly loved.

You’ll see all the news this week about NYCC beating out SDCC this week in attendance, so it’s notable that I got my ass to the Con on a Yo! Bus for four days of bumping into fans, dizzying cosplay and one heck of a good time. For an early evening panel after spending my whole day traveling, the seats at the Javits Center welcomed us for one of my favorite publishers.

We took a look at the popular licensed properties held by IDW from the IDW & Hasbro: Transformers, Ponies & More panel at New York Comic Con, Day 1 - Thursday, October 9 2014 at 6:15pm.

My only question is, why did my favorite book for life - G.I. Joe get relegated to peeling potato duty. I mean, “ & More”?

That’s a bit insulting to our nation’s Special Mission Force!

But Senior Editor John Barber and Mike Costa made up for it — by announcing Snake Eyes: Agent of Cobra, the next installment in the Cobra Files seasons.

Plus, some more “Truly Outrageous” announcements, nearly missed by the regular Friday through Sunday Con visitors!

THROWBACK THURSDAY: Adventures In Telezonia...An Educational Film On How To Use The Rotary Telephone

That's Right, Use Your Finger Bobby...All The Way Around...Now Pull It Out

If you ever had the thought, "I wonder where Pennywise the Clown was birthed from" Telezonia is it...I think it has to be where all nightmares are born and raised, for it is nothing short of terrifying. And the creators behind this horror show is none other than Ma Bell who decided that that the kids of 1946 were complete and utter tools who lacked the skills necessary to make a call (although, to be fair, Bobby- the kid who co-stars with the most frightening puppet ever created- would give infomercial actors a run for their money) and so the world of Telezonia was born.

Basically the plot is this: Weird marionette puppets get off on phone calls and, when one is made incorrectly, they appear to the perpetrator, kidnap them to a cloud world that looks like a plywood table surrounded by a curtain, and the proceed to educate said idiot on the intricacies of dialing a fucking phone.

You'd think that this educational film would be about, what? Five minutes right? Well, multiple that by 3 and add another three minutes...the hell?

Look, as a member of the last generation who grew up with rotary phones I feel comfortable in saying that they weren't that hard to use. Sure, whenever someone had a zero in their phone number they were inevitably de-friended (only old people will understand that) but the mechanics of dialing weren't that difficult...and it sure as hell doesn't require an 18-minute long tutorial by a frightmare puppet who gets upset when you ask him who he is when he appears out of thin air (actual dialog, Bobby: Who Are You? Handy (yes, the puppet's name is Handy): Take it easy fella...).

Yep, people back then had a lot more time and money to make shitastic films about things a four year-old is capable of doing. So sit back and enjoy the tale of HOW TO DIAL A PHONE...It is simply breathtaking (and by breathtaking I mean WTF).

Video after the break.

A Furry Cat Clutch For Fancy Parties? Yes Please!

Normally I don't squeal like a One Direction fan when I see something pink, but I'm not ashamed to say that I not only screamed like a tween-age girl upon spying this flattened cat clutch, I also cried a little bit.

That's how I roll now.

I don't think I need to tell you what shoving a twenty dollar bill, some lip gloss and my ID inside what looks like a run over cat does to an unstable woman with a kitteh fetish, but you can rest assured that this piece of fashionable evening wear will not only be used while I attend a posh social gathering (that I crash, I'm not invited to these kinds of things anymore) I will also take it to the grocery store, the mall and to my next pap smear appointment.

And for just $38.09, I'll get 2...you know, in case I lose one...just like I do with my alive cats.

Why exactly do we love dogs so much?

From a pure evolutionary perspective, dogs actually counteract fitness as the source of many health related issues.  Though it is true that they can act as a source of increased mental well-being, dogs can also galvanize copious amounts of stress, especially on relationships with other people.

Nevertheless, we love them.

Kinski is an exercise in the exploration into the motivations of the counter-intuitive and occasionally absurd things we do for the animals we love.

Joe is a salesman who one day finds a black labrador at a hotel.

In a moment of animal-man love at first sight, Joe decides that Kinski will be his pet and companion no matter what.
