In the future Saturn's moon of Titan houses a prison where Earth's worst criminals are kept awaiting their return to Earth for trial and execution. One of those criminals, Python Diamond, is being flown back to Earth, escorted by five members of the military police. Upon their return to Earth, they find that a cataclysmic nuclear war has reduced the world to a near-lifeless husk. Searching for survivors and any clue as to the cause of the destruction leads the six to a warehouse bunker housing scientists who constitute Earth's last remaining hope for the future. Unfortunately, their landing spacecraft drew the attention of one of the gangs that roam the ruined countryside in search of food and resources, leading them straight to the carefully hidden and well-provisioned shelter. The gang lays siege to the warehouse, fighting their way inside in a bloody battle that takes lives on both sides. Low on people and ammunition, Python and the remaining survivors wage a guerrilla battle against their attackers amid the twisting confines of the warehouse while, unbeknownst to both sides, a third party enters the fray, leaving carnage in its wake. This dangerous entity finally forces the remaining bandits and the few survivors to band together for mutual survival.

Ummm....yes, please!

This is the latest project from Richard Griffin, who not only has made over fourteen features, but continues to earn critical praise for his work.  Currently Future Justice is raising production funds on Indie Go Go and is offering a number of pretty sweet incentives including producer credits, crew jackets, autographed posters, DVDs, premiere tickets, props and more.

David Burke (Jason Sudeikis) is a small-time pot dealer whose clientele includes chefs and soccer moms, but no kids—after all, he has his scruples. So what could go wrong? Plenty. Preferring to keep a low profile for obvious reasons, he learns the hard way that no good deed goes unpunished when he tries to help out some local teens and winds up getting jumped by a trio of gutter punks. Stealing his stash and his cash, they leave him in major debt to his supplier, Brad (Ed Helms).

In order to wipe the slate clean—and maintain a clean bill of health—David must now become a big-time drug smuggler by bringing Brad’s latest shipment in from Mexico. Twisting the arms of his neighbors, cynical stripper Rose (Jennifer Aniston) and wannabe customer Kenny (Will Poulter), and the tatted-and-pierced streetwise teen Casey (Emma Roberts), he devises a foolproof plan. One fake wife, two pretend kids and a huge, shiny RV later, the “Millers” are headed south of the border for a Fourth of July weekend that is sure to end with a bang.

And we're giving away passes to see it on Monday, August 5th at 7:00pm at the Regal Fenway.

To claim your passes, CLICK HERE and enter the code: FOGHMFV

Watch The Visually Stunning Trailer for 'THE PAINTING'

Not only is the trailer for the Cesar Award nominated The Painting one of the most visually exciting trailers I've seen in some time, but it's also a testament to the strength of animation as a powerful storytelling medium.

Directed by Jean-François Laguionie, this film is appropriate for viewers of all ages.
In this wry parable, a kingdom is divided into the three castes - the impeccably painted Alldunns who reside in a majestic palace; the Halfies who the Painter has left incomplete; and the untouchable Sketchies, simple charcoal outlines who are banished to the cursed forest. Chastised for her forbidden love for an Alldunn and shamed by her unadorned face, Halfie Claire runs away into the forest. Her beloved Ramo and best friend Lola journey after her, passing between the forbidden Death Flowers that guard the boundaries of the forest and arriving finally at the very edge of the painting - where they tumble through the canvas and into the Painter's studio. The abandoned workspace is strewn with paintings, each containing its own animated world - and in a feast for both the eyes and imagination, they explore first one picture and then another, attempting to discover just what the Painter has in mind for all his creations.
Check out the trailer after the jump.

DEXTER: "This Little Piggy" S8E5 (review)

Amazing line: “Serial killer bested by 100 pound nanny.”

Now, to the review.

I do appreciate that the show is ending, so storylines have to move quickly, but I was never less involved in a serial killer than AJ Yates.

Across seasons we usually experience a complex development of Dexter’s nemeses or companions. Lilah, Trinity, Lumen, Hannah, etc.: all different shades of pain, evil, and corrupt innocence.

AJ Yates was no one. I never cared about him. This guy wasn’t interesting or amusing, just obnoxious and rather stupid.  It’s only the end of episode five and I’ve already forgotten him.

Can’t stop thinking – this is the MIDWAY point? Meh.

Highlight of scenes with Yates: we saw a victim fight back – always great. And what a backhand Evelyn!

TRUE BLOOD: "In The Evening" S6E7 (review)

This is the kind of episode that makes my world shine.  The pace doesn’t sprint on high-speed, allowing highly emotional scenes to have impact, be savored, admired.

In the Evening did a great job clarifying the real, crazed villain of season 6.

Sarah Newlin – a woman corrupt with power and hatred for a species she fears, driven by an insatiable need for control.

Sarah has always been the sideline doop. But now that Governor Burrell is gone, her moment to shine has come. She is showing zero mercy and I for one think this bitch is really frightening. Hep V into the TrueBlood supply is a truly dick move. At least Russell Edgington was hilarious.

I’m just hoping they make Sarah’s huge-ass hair go flat before they kill her.

ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK: "Tall Men With Feelings" S1E11 (Review)

What is it about ourselves that when we look deep within we are incapable of seeing the flaws and imperfections. Oh sure, physically we can pick apart the things we don't like: stomach too round, ass not tight enough, wrinkles, etc. but when it comes to those attributes that are not tangible we seem to walk around with blinders on.

In our minds (even though we rarely admit it) we are perfect. We are smart. We are, the best of the best.

Perhaps it's nature's way of making sure that we don't end up hailing the suicide cab, I mean, let's face it, if we really judged ourselves the way we judge others, how would it be possible to live with yourself?

And yeah, that's exactly where we are with the folks at Litchfield prison...real perspective.

FOR THE FOLKS AT FOX suggestions for a better theme park...

$

Last week, Twentieth Century Fox made the better-late-than-never announcement they're venturing into the theme park business to exploit their owned film and television properties.

This is actually the second attempt to build a better theme park (the first being an embarrassing Australia-based vanity project for Rupert Murdoch).  This time around, they're using Malaysia as a testing ground before moving anywhere else.

Studios continue to feel the paranoia-inducing nightmare that Millennials and additional future generations, simply aren't brand champions.  Hell, they're not even really aware, nor do they care, which programs and movies come from which studios.

Adding to the nightmare, Fox has licensed out a majority of their biggest titles to other theme parks in the last 30 years, including The Simpsons to Universal Studios and, most recently) their massive blockbuster Avatar to Disney.  Star Wars they never had licensing rights from the beginning, and with Disney securing Lucusfilm, don't expect any next-gen Star Tours experiences at this Fox park.

Expected to open in 2016, the new Fox park plans to bring themed attractions around the obvious big-tickets like Alien or Predator, as well as family friendly experiences around Rio and possibly Ice Age.

I think they could deep digger into the Fox catalogue for some really unique guest satisfaction:

Tons of people regularly watch porn and then find that real life sex rarely results in getting stuffed in a satisfying way for hours at a time.

While the disappointment that porn isn't all that it's plugged up to be may be devastating to some, it can also lead certain people to thinking that there is something wrong with themselves and thus creating a bit of a problem in the sack.

But don't worry if you aren't up to muff like those porn stars, 'cause real life does not and will not revolve around a spontaneous three-way with your plumber...ever.

Just watch the following informational video (which uses food to illustrate the point nicely) on why Porn Sex isn't Real Sex and then feel better about all the times you accidentally tried to enter the wrong hole.

We've all been there buddy.

Academy Award® winner Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg lead an all-star cast in 2 Guns, an explosive action film that tracks two operatives from competing bureaus who are forced on the run together. But there is a big problem with their unique alliance: Neither knows that the other is an undercover federal agent.

For the past 12 months, DEA agent Bobby Trench (Washington) and U.S. naval intelligence officer Marcus Stigman (Wahlberg) have been reluctantly attached at the hip. Working undercover as members of a narcotics syndicate, each man distrusts his partner as much as the criminals they have both been tasked to take down.

When their attempt to infiltrate a Mexican drug cartel and recover millions goes haywire, Trench and Stigman are suddenly disavowed by their superiors. Now that everyone wants them in jail or in the ground, the only person they can count on is the other. Unfortunately for their pursuers, when good guys spend years pretending to be bad, they pick up a few tricks along the way.

And we're giving away a prize package to a Forces of Geek reader!

ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK: "Fool Me Once" S1E12 (Review)

The definition for Retribution seems simple enough: n. "Punishment that is considered to be morally right and fully deserved" On the surface it appears to be pretty clear cut, you do something wrong that goes against the moral center of another, you get punished. But if you look really deep, there's some serious subtext lingering underneath that definition.

And therein lies the problem.

Just who the fuck's moral center are you rubbing against?

And in prison, retribution can be an incredibly hazardous thing.

Chapman (Taylor Schilling) has not exactly come full circle to meeting her real self, but, after Larry's (Jason Biggs) disastrous NPR interview (where some secrets concerning her fellow inmate were spilled), a blossoming relationship with Alex (Laura Prepon) that turns out was built upon a lie and months of getting torn down emotionally, Chapman is discovering that perhaps she really is the person the people in prison think she is, kind of an asshole.

While on nighttime janitorial duty Chapman runs into a very upset Crazy Eyes (Uzo Aduba) (who is cleaning the bathroom as a way to cope with her darkness) and although she tries to explain and apologize to her former prison wife, Crazy Eyes is having none of it. She has made peace with the fact that Piper is simply not a nice person and the truth of this seems to settle on Chapman in a way that nothing else has (Retribution light: truth as punishment).
