“She-Hulk XXX: An Axel Braun Parody” starring former pro-wrestling champion Chyna will be released by Vivid Entertainment, the world’s leading adult film company. The movie will be available online at vivid.com on Tuesday, March 26th and in stores nationwide on Tuesday, April 2nd.

“Of all of the great female comic characters, She-Hulk is the one that I wanted most to play in a parody,” says Chyna. “This is the role I was destined for because I can identify with both her strength and her vulnerability.”

The film is directed by undisputed Parody King Axel Braun, who has won more awards for his parodies of superhero characters than any other adult director. “Chyna was absolutely terrific and I don’t think I could have made the movie without her,” said Braun. “I can’t imagine any other adult or even mainstream actress in this role. She literally explodes off the screen.”

In the adult parody storyline, Chyna’s character is Jennifer Walters, an attorney and the cousin of Bruce Banner, aka The Incredible Hulk. When Jennifer is shot by a gunman working for mob boss Nicholas Trask, Banner performs an emergency transfusion, which saves her life but transforms her into She-Hulk.

The sex-filled, action-packed movie’s scenes are hot and fast-paced as Jen meets up with the Fantastic Four, the Hydra cell and other characters, including the Avengers’ marksman Hawkeye, played once again by the excellent Eric Masterson. Along with Chyna, the cast includes Gracie Glam, Tara Lynn Foxx, Alexis Ford, Jennifer Dark, Mark Wood, Alec Knight, Alan Stafford, Ryan Driller and Richie Calhoun as Bruce Banner.

An 8-page, 4-color comic book of the spoof illustrated by Iron Bear is included with the “She-Hulk XXX” DVD. “Iron Bear” is the pseudonym for a well-known mainstream illustrator,” said Braun.
And we're giving away five copies to Forces of Geek readers.

CUDDLE UP WITH A RETRO VIDEO GAME CARTRIDGE PILLOW SET

This week I am completely alone in my house which can be a beautiful thing (the hubby is off at a Game Developers Conference) and in the two days since my freedom from marital responsibility began, I have laid on the couch watching marathons of SVU until my brain turned into mush, ate ice cream for dinner and have eschewed brushing my hair.

In other-words, I am really kinda awesome at being a lazy loser.

But it's the nights that have come to bother me. No sounds of video games being played on the TV, no overheard rumblings about game play impossibilities, no waking up from a deep slumber because someone in the house fucked up on The Gunstringer...it's just too quiet and I am becoming lonely.

Which is why this set of retro-styled NES video game cartridge pillows might be nice to cuddle with while the hubby is away in San Francisco flirting with game creators.

Life of Pi
Fox / Released March 12, 2013

Though Life of Pi sets out to tell a story that will make us believe in God, it never quite gets there.  But what this fantastical tale of survival for a 16-year-old boy -- who is stranded in a life-boat with limited supplies and a Tiger for companionship -- does manage to convince us of is that Ang Lee is a director operating at the top of his game.  (All is forgiven for Taking Woodstock.  Okay, maybe not all.)  Allowing the stunning visual effects to serve the story, and not the other way around.

It’s undeniable by this point that when it comes to successful comic book movies, Marvel is to DC what the New England Patriots are to the Detroit Lions.

Speaking strictly on box office receipts, even forgetting for a moment the critical praise, Marvel has dominated DC by and large on the big screen since the beginning of the 21st century and not even Jose Canseco, who denies everything from the way gravity works to meteors exploding over Russia, can start a truther movement to the contrary.

BEST NEW PRODUCT FOR DELINQUENTS: Envelope X-Ray Spray

When I was younger (back when there was no internet, cell phones, or iPads) the school that I went to would send home letters to my parents informing them that I was sort of a delinquent and that they should probably come by for a meeting to discuss what an asshole I was.

And, being that I was, in fact, a giant dildo, I would intercept these notes, boil up some water, unseal the gummy flap in the steam and read what the guidance councilor had to say about me so I could prepare a defense that sounded natural when I was confronted by the 'rents about why I felt the need to be such a jackass (yes, I resealed them and put the letter back in the mailbox, this was part of my "plan").

Of course, my mom knew what I was doing, seeing that the letter was all wrinkled and manhandled, but she enjoyed watching me squirm by not mentioning the letter for days at a time (she was nothing if not the master of the mindfuck) until I would crack from the stress.

In my very humble opinion, this is the most wonderful time of the year for sports fans.

Winter marches to the end and spring gets to be sprung.

The best tournament in all of sports intoxicates sports fans and gamblers everywhere and Baseball inches closer to its opening day.

But one big event may overshadow all of that. It’s the granddaddy of them all, the showcase of the immortals; It’s WrestleMania!

As the road to WrestleMania 29 is taking shape, Frankie and I thought it would be fitting to share our top 10 WrestleMania matches of the 90s.

These 10 matches are action-packed and drama-filled pieces of work that make us remember why we are fans of professional wrestling to begin with.

By the way, I am pretty sure that I figured out roman numerals as a kid because of WrestleMania and possibly the Super Bowl.

THE IRS MAKE A STAR TREK-Spoof Training Video For $60,000 And Learn the Hard Way It's Not Tax Deductable

The IRS is a government agency that takes your money and...wait, it probably isn't a good idea to start a rant about them considering tax day is just around the corner...hmm, so how do I discuss the fact that the IRS spent $60,000 of the people's money to create a horrible training video that uses Star Trek as a catalyst to explain identity theft (via the planet NoTax) without landing myself on some audit list?

Probably can't so here's the training video presented without comment.

By the way, all my paperwork is in order.

What Bodes for Bond 24?

Word that director Sam Mendes has opted out of Bond 24 is mixed news.

The chances of recreating the chemistry and magic of Skyfall have notably diminished, but so too have the pressures of audience expectations.

Bond 23 set the bar so high that, for a while, we were all wondering how Bond 24 could possibly equal it, let alone top it. Now, perhaps, we don’t expect so much that it will.

Craig and Mendes

Last we heard, Bond 24 was penciled in for a 2014 release, with Daniel Craig on board for this movie plus at least one more after that. Now, amid speculation on who could suitably take over the director’s seat, EON has just announced the target release date of Bond 24 has been postponed—James Bond will return “within the next three years.”

BATES MOTEL: “Nice Town You Picked, Norma…" S1E2 (review)

Now that we’ve gotten the particulars out of the way with the premiere episode - establishing the “who’s” and “what’s” of Bates Motel, we get into the meat and potatoes of the series.

The second episode introduces us to the older, unloved, troubled son, and Norman’s half-brother (I’m not sure which half I like) Dylan Bates (Max Thieriot, House at the End of the Street, Chloe).

You know, the son who called up his mom (Vera Farmiga) in the premiere episode and asked her why she moved out of state without telling him.  Where Norman (Freddie Highmore) is beloved and cherished by mom, Dylan is barely tolerated by her.  Seems Norma was only 17 when she had Dylan, and then dumped his father when she met Norman’s daddy Sam (Sam? Really?).

After that, Dylan became a footnote, and thus, on the road to being a “bad boy.”  The intro of Dylan was a little off-setting for me, as I’m a stickler for old school, but let’s give the poor boy a chance, shall we?

BEING HUMAN: "If I Only Had Raw Brain" S3E11 (review)

A creepy guy in a hoodie floats through this episode, following our favorite vampire. We see him in the distance in just about every scene that we see Aidan (Sam Witwer).

Josh (Sam Huntington) and Aidan have an argument in the hospital about the vampire-eating friendly wizened werewolf Pete.

Josh seems to feel like Aidan has thrown the werewolves under the camper; And even though Aidan has made it clear that Josh and Nora are off-limits, Josh still feels that Aidan is putting his own kind above the bonds of friendship the roommates have formed.

Kenny (Connor Price) has found a donor that may be able to get him out of his bubble for good, but since this has been tried before with underwhelming results, he's reluctant to put himself or his guilt ridden parents through yet another trial.

He'd rather be a vampire.

In the vein of Monk and Psych, and based on the novels by beloved author Douglas Adams (The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy), Dirk Gently arrives to DVD from Acorn on April 2, 2013. Broadcast on BBC in 2010 and 2012 and available to U.S. audiences for the first time with its DVD release, this four-part dramedy stars Stephen Mangan (starring opposite Matt LeBlanc on Episodes) as Dirk Gently, a perpetually insolvent yet uncommonly talented holistic detective. The series follows the affably played detective as he spins coincidences into explanations for seemingly unsolvable mysteries. Although he’s regarded as a mere con man by some, Dirk often delivers astonishing results with his unusual tactics. This rollicking adaptation also features Helen Baxendale (Friends, Kidnap and Ransom), Lisa Jackson (Daniel Deronda), Jason Watkins (Being Human), and Bill Paterson (Traffik). The DVD 2-Disc Set includes the pilot and the first three episodes ($39.99, AcornOnline.com).
And thanks to our friends at Acorn, we're giving away a copy of Dirk Gently to a Forces of Geek reader!

BRONIES: A Documentary About the Extremely Unexpected Adult Fans of My Little Pony

$

When I first learned about adult and teenage guys falling in complete love with what is essentially a show about cartoon ponies, I will admit to a bit of, well, assholeness, which was nothing more than a bigotry against a fanbase that I misunderstood (which is sort of like the pot calling the kettle black considering that my love affair with the 80's cartoon Dungeons and Dragons is bordering on manic).

But then I had heard that John de Lancie (Q from STNG and the voice of Discord in Friendship is Magic) was heading up a Kickstarter campaign to make a documentary about this phenomenon after receiving tons of fan letters from adults and wanted to explore this interesting development in fandom (I mean if a Star Trek vet feels that an in depth probe into a fan base warrants a documentary, then you sort of have to pay attention).

The idea was certainly intriguing.

And, after raising more than $300,000 for the doc (which is now available for purchase HERE) we insensitive bastards who, for whatever reason, felt above the Bronies are in for a real cinematic treat: A fully developed story about finding inclusion in a world where one feels like an outsider featuring people who are not unlike ourselves (when being a geek wasn't cool).

Sound familiar?

Moving and heartfelt, Bronies is definitely something that fans of genre can and will relate to if they aren't too dead inside.

Trailer after the break.

I think you're going to like it

WHY YOU SHOULD NEVER Fall Asleep During An Improv Show

Get ready for some humiliation Grandma

You remember how when the only thing you had to worry about if you fell asleep in public (or around your drunk friends) was waking up with a dick drawn on your face?

Well, thanks to camera phones and the like, your inability to remain alert is now fodder for people to use you in a comedy act.

So maybe, you know, before heading out for a night on the town, think about taking a nap beforehand.

Otherwise, there's a good chance an improv group will strip down to their underwear, surround you and sing happy birthday for the amusement of an audience.

I'm just saying.

THE INTERNET: 1995...Hey, Let's All Read the Usenet, Look At Some Electronic Mail and Not Put Our Credit Card On the Line Until There's Some Kind of Security System In Place!

While digging through a box in my garage, I found about ten free AOL CD's from back in the day and my response to this discovery was that I broke down in tears. It was all those memories of lost hours spent in chat rooms talking about sex that did it. I mean, how often can one say that when they first inserted a CD into a disc drive and entered the series of tubes known as the internet that they found their true calling?

All right, probably a lot of people, but let's not diminish the shine that those memories have on me.

And this educational video about the internet is not only a trip down techno-babble lane, it is also so seriously hilarious that you will guffaw appreciatively at how insane we all were back then.

Ahh, memories.

Now, if you excuse me, I'm going to see if any of those passwords for a free 100 hour trial of AOL still work.

Time for a Nonprofit Studio?

Easily the biggest piece of entertainment news this month was that the Veronica Mars Kickstarter campaign raised several million dollars overnight.

As many people have pointed out, this is a problematic and cynical way to finance movie. The filmmakers asking fans to be equity investors in a for-profit business venture, but instead of receiving equity — ownership of the movie — instead they get a T-shirt.

If the movie is profitable, all the profit goes to the people who refused to take the risk of investing their own money.

A more equitable approach for funding independent movies like this would be if a nonprofit film studio produced them.
